Tips to washing your dreadlocks
0 Comment
- Do not wash your hair every day, just once per week is sufficient.
- If your head gets itchy, try putting bi-carb soda, apple cider vinegar, warm water, and tea-tree oil in a tub or sink and dip your hair and scalp into it. Massage it for a couple of minutes and let sit for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water only (no shampoo). It will itch like crazy initially, but then will feel less itchy after.
- Only wash your hair with shampoo… not conditioner. This will keep your dread locks clean and less likely to come loose.
- 3 in One Menthol Head and Shoulders shampoo will prevent a build up of dandruff.
- When you shower, don’t scrub hard. Just massage softly so that your dreads don’t quickly become loose.
